Roof inspection and no obligation quote
At a time that’s convenient for you, we pop round to take a look at your roof and attic. We determine what you would like to gain from your loft area. We utilize our expertise to formulate the perfect construction for your family.
You will receive an all-inclusive written estimate. If you are happy with our quote we issue you with a jargon-free contract.
Plan, draw and authorize
Plans are drawn up by our architect and promptly submitted to the local authority. We are masters in securing fast approval of plans. We also get party wall agreements signed by your neighbors.
A start date is set for your construction.
First phase of construction
We are as excited as you when the scaffolding goes up and materials begin to arrive. To carry out most of our work from the exterior of your home and keep mess and disruption to a minimum, we make a neat opening in your roof.
Steel beams to support your additional structure and a new floor joist are installed. At this stage, our tradesmen lay under-floor piping and wires.
A building inspector will pop-by to check the standard of our work.
Second phase of construction
Exterior reconstruction work on your roof (including tiling) is completed. The new structure is weatherproofed. Internal walls are constructed. Extensive plumbing work
gets underway. Our electrician wires up for your lighting needs and plug sockets. Your new room has windows fitted and will be insulated.
The building inspector pops round again; to verify regulatory standards have been met.
Final phase of construction
The bulk of the building work is now complete. It’s time to install your new staircase. We plasterboard the stairwell and walls of the new room(s).
Our plumber puts your heating and bathroom items in place. Meanwhile, electric switches, sockets, and a smoke detection system are fitted. Walls are plastered and the carpenter hangs doors and finishes frames. We ensure your attic extension is fully fireproof and give your gutters a final check.
Your roof renovation is now complete. The inspector makes his final inspection. He will review our work and give you a Certificate of Completion. The safety standards for all electrical work are verified by the issue of a Part P Certificate.
Chiswick Lofts leave you now, but we never leave you in the lurch. Our work carries a full 10-year guarantee.
